The problem of Peroxides stabilisation and, particularly, the H2O2 stabilisation is now very old even if not yet well understood.
Many are the factors affecting the stability of Peroxides which are usually connected with the unstability of the high-energy --O--O-- bond and among these are:
- Self-decomposition due to inherent instability
- Trace metals
- Free radicals
SEQUION have been tested for many years as H2O2 stabilisers and found to be effective for the product itself and in application like, for instance, washing and bleaching of fabrics.
